The cradle of Skyy Vodka is in San Francisco. The entrepreneur Maurice Kanbar – lover of fine spirits – wished for a vodka so pure that it could be enjoyed without regret. After years of intensive research, Kanbar launched a revolutionary new vodka in 1992. To produce it, he developed a temperature-controlled fourfold distillation process that continuously eliminates impurities. In a triple filtration process, further unwanted particles are then removed. The result is a highly pure, full-bodied vodka. The horizon over San Francisco, the vastness of the blue sky and its unlimited possibilities inspired Maurice Kanbar to name it Skyy.
